EXHIBIT I-A
RULES AND REGULATIONS REGARDING NFA FIREARMS
1. This MR is issued subject to pertinent rules and regulations governing the same.
2. This MR is subject to revocation/recall anytime for any reason and/or for violation of any rule/regulation concerning the issuance and handling concerning NFA firearms.
3. The unauthorized firing/discharge of firearms shall be subjected to extreme administrative/criminal sanctions as well as automatic forfeiture of the privilege.
4. The carrying of firearm is limited only within the premises of the office of their assignment and from their place of work. They shall not bring home the firearm issued to them. After their tour of duty, the firearm should be returned for safekeeping in the depository in the office or premises of work of the security guard. `Unless otherwise authorized to carry the firearms outside of NFA premises and/or residence, the firearm is to be confined within the perimeter of the NFA premises.
5. The firearm shall be subject to inspection anytime during the regular office hours by authorized personnel. Failure to produce the firearm for inspection without satisfactory explanation shall subject the holder to automatic forfeiture of the privilege.
6. Do not trust your memory. Consider the firearm always loaded.
7. Never point your firearm at anyone you do not intend to shoot or disable, nor any direction where an accidental discharge may do harm.
8. While running, especially when in pursuit of a malefactor, keep your finger off the trigger and your thumb off the hammer.
9. Know your firearm well, how it works, and its ammunition.
10. Never draw your firearm except for inspection, cleaning or actual use in line of duty. It should never be used nor displayed to intimidate/threaten others.
11. Always be certain that the barrel and action are clean, unobstructed and well oiled.
12. Never shoot at flat surfaces of water, bullets may ricochet.
13. Never place your loaded firearms in the holster with the hammer cocked; keep the safety on and/or the action open unless firing.
14. Guns and alcohol/drugs don’t mix! Never with firearms around.
The undersigned has read and understood the above and further undertakes and promises to strictly abide by the firearms and that, as a government employee, shall exercise utmost care and diligence as a good father of a family while enjoying this privilege. In the event of loss or damage to the firearm, the undersigned further undertakes to pay the entire costs for its repair and/or to remunerate the NFA for the brand-new replacement cost in case of unexplained/unsatisfactory total loss.
