GUIDELINES ON WAREHOUSE CODING
1. Warehouse codes shall consist of six-digit numeric code
and a one-digit alpha/numeric auxiliary code.
2. Warehouse codes shall be assigned in the following manner:
a. The first two digits of the code shall correspond to
the region number to which the province belongs.
b. The third and fourth digits shall represent the code
of the province to which the warehouse belongs.
b.1 In the case wherein a certain warehouse is
located in Province A but is under the
jurisdiction of Province B, the province code to
be assigned shall be that of Province B.
c. The fifth and sixth digits of the warehouse code shall
represent the corresponding number of each warehouse.
c.1 For NFA-GID warehouses, the 5th and 6th digits
of the warehouse shall range from 01-19
c.2 For NFA-owned (old type warehouses and
silos) it shall range from (20-39)
c.3 And for leased/storage/free rental
warehouses, it shall range from 40-99
d. The 7th digit is an optional auxiliary code used in case a
warehouse has a Main and ANNEX which are supposedly
treated separately; thus each has its own warehouse slip
and layout.
d.1 For the Main Section of a warehouse, the letter
"A" shall be used as the auxiliary code
d.2 for the Annexes, the letter "B", "C", etc. shall
be used as the auxiliary code.
3. A silo shall be considered a warehouse and shall be assigned a separate
warehouse code following the coding system in the No. 2
4. A leased/storage/free rental warehouse previously assigned a warehouse
code (but utilization was discontinued and later acquired by NFA) maybe
assigned its previous warehouse code
5. A duplex or a triplex under one warehouse supervisor shall be reported
as one (1) unit. Thus, a duplex or a triplex shall have only one (1) warehouse
slip and layout.
